Modi will respond to criticism on Prez speech today

According to reports, the Prime Minister is expected to speak in the Lower House first in the afternoon before addressing Rajya Sabha on the last day of the first session of the 16th Lok Sabha.
Laying out the agenda of the new government, Mukherjee had addressed on Monday a joint session of Parliament, touching upon issues ranging from inflation to job creation and relations with others countries to women's security.
The PM's response becomes significant in the wake of the President's speech being likened to the rhetoric Modi had used during his high-voltage election campaign.
Even opposition parties had slammed the government over Mukherjee's address, with the Congress saying it lacked 'original thought' and the CPI(M) describing it as 'compilation of election slogans and rehash of the BJP manifesto'.
